Summary

I have covered a range of beats for an assortment of news outlets from Texas to New York. Over the years, I have come to specialize in reporting breaking news, editing community news and packaging stories for web publication. My storytelling and photography abilities have also developed predominantly because of major stories I’ve had the chance to cover, including: coronavirus, the Dallas Ambush, Hurricane Harvey and the Dakota Access Pipeline protests.

WORK

Web Producer | New York Post

I produce stories for nypost.com and pagesix.com, which entails headline writing, photo selection, copyediting and embedding relevant links and media — while following SEO best practices. I have also written more than 200 stories for print and web, where my stories have received more than 10 million pageviews. I also schedule posts for social media and flag breaking news to editors.

I verified trending news authenticity, accuracy and newsworthiness. I wrote headlines and summaries for major news items that were then displayed to millions of Facebook users. I also ensured that trending news items I worked on adhered to strict news values with integrity.
